Enchanting can only be done by characters with sufficient arcane abilities (level 7 wizard, beguiler, warmage or sorcerer, level 9 bard, or level 11 warlock or hexblade) and allows you to enhance the items crafted by other crafts. To enchant an item, you will need both a number of magical essences and a character to drain life force (XP) from. Additionally, you will need an enchanter's rod to perform the actual crafting.
